Hello friends! Per our decision as a chapter to cease operations under the Girl Develop It name (our letter to the Girl Develop It Pittsburgh chapter and reasons can be found here: https://bit.ly/2VI0Cwi), we are partnering up with All the Nerdy Ladies this month to host Code & Coffee: https://www.meetup.com/All-The-Nerdy-Ladies-Pittsburgh/events/257990402/. Code & Coffee will still be at ADDA in Shadyside on January 24 from 7-9pm. Although All the Nerdy Ladies is women/non-binary only, men are welcome at this event! While you won't be able to RSVP, please just show up. We hope to see you there!
Do you like coding with friends? Like really great coffee? Come out to GDI's Code & Coffee!
Code and Coffee is a monthly opportunity for you to work on your own projects, continue practicing what you've been learning, and meet others who share your interests. Bring your laptop, your recent projects, and your programming problems and questions.
Have a project idea and some skills, but haven’t attended a GDI event yet? Want to focus on helping others with their projects? You're welcome too!
This is also a great event for first time attendees who just want to socialize. We're very friendly and would love to have you join us. :)
As a group, we’ll hold each other accountable for completing our projects, and provide on-going support and feedback.
This event is free, but we ask that you make a small purchase. The coffee shop is being kind enough to open outside their normal hours for us, and we like supporting local businesses. :)
Feel free to come by for the whole thing or drop in when you have time.
Need a ride to the event or willing to drive others? Please share in the comments!
Please review Girl Develop It's Code of Conduct (https://www.girldevelopit.com/code-of-conduct) prior to the event.
Note: This venue is handicap accessible, as well as 100% ADA compliant.
Thanks again to Adda (http://www.addacoffeehouse.com/) Coffeehouse for sponsoring us to use their space:
