Presentation: Introduction to Tiny Computers

Description: If it’s smaller than a laptop we’ll talk about it. From Arduinos to cell phones and industrial devices, this presentation is intended to give an overview of tiny computers for techies who want to know where to start making standalone devices-What the hardware is capable of, what software you need to know, and how to connect them up to build things. If we have time we’ll even talk some about specific devices and vendors.

BIO: Simon Heath has spent almost 20 years going from self-taught tinkerer to professional generalist in all things computers.

He has programmed everything from video games to robotics systems and internet infrastructure, as well as doing some system administration for fun (and sometimes profit), and loves it all. Currently he shepherds drones for the Pittsburgh aerospace company Near Earth Autonomy.

Hope to see you there!
