• What we'll do
As application requirements become more and more interdependent, so does the need to secure and deploy those applications. Deployment though, is often an afterthought. The need to break down silos and become a “full stack” developer is becoming more and more important to application designers and implementers. Justin Barksdale and Clint Mann from Cisco will give us a peak behind the curtain to help us understand what goes on in the world of infrastructure.
Join us for a brief presentation of what the operations and infrastructure teams go through in the lifecycle of an application followed by some workshop time to begin honing the skills needed to become the full stack developer. Justin Barksdale is a Technical Solutions Architect for Data Center and Cloud technologies at Cisco Systems. He has been in the technology industry for more than 15 years. Prior to Cisco, Justin was a Practice Lead for a local implementation partner. He was also the Senior Infrastructure Architect for PPG Paints Arena during its construction.
Clint Mann is a Systems Engineer for Cisco Systems supporting commercial customers in the greater Pittsburgh area. He is former Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Highmark and PNC Bank. He has been in the technology industry for over 15 years with roles focused primarily in operations supporting a multitude of technologies.
