What is a Data Scientist? What is Big Data? Wondering if you're qualified to start a career in this field?

During this talk, we'll cover the emergence of big data and what it means to be a data scientist. We'll walk you through how to get the skills to become a data scientist, and focus on the different jobs that will be open to you once you've mastered your new skill set.

Suggested Experience Level:

Beginner - no previous coding experience needed

Come armed with questions, this is your opportunity to find out everything you need to know about beginning your career in tech.

How to Find Us:

The event will be held at The Department located at 1 N 1st St., #600, Phoenix, AZ 85004. The entrance is located along N 1st St., next to the Cartel Coffee Lab. Metered parking is available for one-hour time slots on 1st St. in front of the building. Metered parking for 2-hour time slots is available on Adams St. just north of the building. The Regency Garage located at 40 N 2nd Street can be accessed off 2nd St., North of Washington with a $12.00 daily flat rate. Washington/Central and 3rd St/Washington Light Rail stations are just a block away.
