7:15 - Automating Database Deployments

As Capital One moves towards a more robust and efficient deployment process, creating and re-using that CICD pipelines for technologies such as AWS Lambda or Spring Boot Application deployment typically follows the same pattern. However, as we tried to employ the same pattern for the AWS Aurora RDS, we come to find this particular technology is not like the others. We like to share our goals with deployment of a database using the CICD process, what's been accomplished, and the technical and process hurdles we encountered as part of our journey.
