Open Cleveland's Regular Meetup/Hack Night

812 Huron Rd E 812 Huron Rd E , Cleveland, OH 44115 (map)

Presentation: none

We've recently launched Cleveland Lots ( , - an online site to apply for stewardship of the vacant lot next door to you,

a couple months ago and still have plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether it's copyediting, managing our AWS instance, or improving python/django code.

RTA released an API of vehicles' real-time locations! Interested to delve more into the data and using RTA's data to improve service and make it easier for fellow Clevelanders to use the RTA, analyze RTA buses if they arrive on schedule, measure coverage and frequency, or any other ideas with the data?

(see for some ideas).

We'll have space and time to hack on our projects or your own projects if you'd like.

Bring your project ideas and suggestions. Is Open Cleveland for you?

If you have an idea of a project that can help improve a local government?

Want to see what other kind of projects that we work on and would be a good idea? See our project list

and our current projects at

If you're a local govt official or employee, share your experiences with data sharing in your workplace and find out how you can share the data that's available to you and promote open data policies there.

So, come join developers, designers, data geeks, civic leaders, organizers, idea-makers, and anyone else who is interested learning about our brigade, civic technology, and open data.

Programming experience is not necessary!

A laptop is strongly encouraged but not required. Open Cleveland is a Code For America Brigade. To learn more about us, visit
