• What do I need to know before showing up?
This is a casual event; you can come at any time. If you can only come for part of it, that’s okay! The night is what you make of it. You don’t need to bring anything, just show up, grab a name tag, and join a conversation.
• Who is this event for?
This event is for anyone looking to get involved in the civic tech space, applying their expertise to help solve social problems in Charlotte.
• Do I need to be a coder?
No! We welcome civic hackers of all varieties. This is a social hour, we encourage newcomers to talk with people and explore where they can contribute their skills. Researchers, analysts, practitioners, designers, writers, photographers, have all contributed to Open Charlotte Brigade projects and organization.
