GradFly helps students develop their interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and matches them to the right colleges.

We provide these matches using a proprietary algorithm that calculates four sources of data:
  •  Data generated by student activity on the site which includes building an online portfolio of achievements, and answering adaptive questions over time;
  • College information that’s publicly available;
  • Information not readily available including opinions and data from students currently matriculated in college STEM courses, and;
  • Content from student social media feeds such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, and Tumblr.

 So what's the big deal? 

GradFly is a more efficient way for students to connect and engage with colleges than filling out long surveys, sorting through misleading rankings, and jumping from site to site to find information.  We get personal with students so they can find perfect fit schools and navigate through the college prep and admissions process with fewer headaches.  We also use social media to help students help each other navigate through what often seems like an intimidating process.  We’re here to help.  We aim to be the most comprehensive college information and recommendation service on the planet for high school STEM students applying to college.

GradFly was a finalist at Startup Weekend Rochester in April 2012 and we are now part of Z80 Labs Technology Incubator in Buffalo, NY.  We are very proud to be a part of the startup community in WNY and are happy to help others in any way that we can.
