#EconDev Leader & Policy Wonk

I am Managing Director of Business Development at Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE), an economic development organization committed to attracting new capital investment and creating regional wealth and jobs throughout the Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester region of New York. Collaborating with state and local stakeholders, I help guide and implement expansion and attraction projects. I am a frontline contact to international corporate site selectors and firms seeking to do business in the region. I'm also a board member at Digital Rochester as Director of YP Engagement and working on cultivating a stronger millennial/GenY tech community across different sectors in Rochester under that banner (inquire within if you have ideas).

After time as a TV news anchor and reporter in two US markets, I developed an interest in studying the fiscal struggles of small- and mid-sized cities and pursued a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Pennsylvania. There, I completed a fellowship at a think tank and gained experience in focused research to shore up regional prosperity through economic analysis and leadership development.

Later roles included a consulting position with the Center for Governmental Research; leading launch of NY’s first Economic Gardening program; and the Empire State Fellowship, through which I served the office of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo as a policy advisor and analyst. I also worked for Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management as Manager of Corporate Relations, nurturing vital links between higher education and industry.

I hold an MPA from Penn, a BA in Journalism from Ithaca College's Park School of Communications; and an MBA certificate in Innovation Management and Technology Transfer from SUNY Empire State. I was named among DCI's 40 Under 40 in Economic Development in 2017 and am a member of Mensa International.
