The topic of this presentation is Dependency Injection Containers. This presentation is a logical follow-up to the previous presentation on Dependency Injection and Mocking.
During this presentation, we will discuss what DI containers are, why they exist, how to use them, when to use them, and when not to use them. We will look at many code examples, and walk through the process of adding a container to an existing project. Then we will create a couple more applications (Console and ASP.NET MVC), using a container right from the start. In the examples, we will be using SimpleInjector, a high-performance and very simple DI container library available for free via NuGet.
If time allows, there will be some bonus material: the Domain Events pattern! We will discuss how the pattern can be implemented when using a DI container like SimpleInjector.
