Intro to Git and Github
Git is one of the most popular version control systems for tracking changes and it helps developers work together on the same project. This class will go over version control and why it's important to use in a project. You will learn basic and advanced Git commands and see an overview of Github.

• How version control works
• How to use Github
• How to work with other developers on a project
• How to use Git commands

• A laptop
• A text editor (Sublime, Atom, etc)
About the instructor:
Anastasia Lanz is a developer at Wall-to-Wall Studios where she creates custom websites for local and regional clients. She also serves on the AIGA Pittsburgh executive board and more recently organizes the Pittsburgh CodePen Meetup. When she isn't staring at a screen, she likes to hang out with her pug, play ice hockey and lift heavy weights.
