Free Open Coaching with the Pitch Doctor, at DLA Piper
With Steve Bowman, the "Pitch Doctor" and President of BizClarity. I’ve specialized in investor presentations for nearly 20 years.
This is an Open Coaching session. I will coach three companies, giving each an hour of my undivided attention. Any entrepreneur is invited to join us, watch and learn.
It's the quickest way to learn how to put together a great investor presentation. It's a real eye-opener for first-timers. Yet experienced entrepreneurs get new insights and learn advanced techniques. The discussion can get intense, and everybody comes away with new ideas (and lots of notes). That's why you should come.
It's FREE because it's sponsored by DLA Piper, "the best law firm you never heard of." Really. They’re one of the largest law firms in the world and a national leader in emerging growth deals. They’re just not well known in Philadelphia (yet).
Open Coaching happens held in DLA’s offices at One Liberty Place. The view from the 49th floor alone is worth it! Dress is casual. If you want to coached:
Venture companies from any industry (including life sciences) are welcome. I do need to approve you first, but I'm screening mostly for what stage you're in because if you're too early, it doesn't work. Pre-revenue is ok. If in doubt, just send me your stuff. I'll confirm with a time slot.
You will get one hour of coaching, as if we were in a private session.
To apply to be coached, email me at email@example.com. Attach something (slides, execsum, etc.) to show me what stage you are and a little about your company. If you have your info on Gust.com, that's the easiest -- tell me and I can see it there.
If you're scheduled to present at an event in the next few weeks, let me know and I'll give you priority.
If you’re being coached, I ask that you plan to attend the whole three hours. Trust me, it makes the whole learning experience that much richer. The three hours are intense and fun and go fast.If you want to just attend and observe:
All entrepreneurs are welcome, no matter what stage your company. Just register and come.Future sessions
I try to hold an Open Coaching session every week, usually on Wednesday, and usually in the morning (10:00 to 1:00). If there's enough interest, I'll try an afternoon session.
I always post on the Philly Startup Leaders (PSL) listserv. I also post on Twitter: @BizClarity If you subscribe to my list on HowToTalkToMoney.com, you'll get email notifications.Who is Steve Bowman?
