Augmented Reality in Your Browser!

ShoreTel 1610 N. Second Street Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53212 (map)

AR.js is a open source project that recently became the most popular project (during it's time) on GitHub when it first came out in early 2017. AR in AR.js stands for Augmented Reality which is now becoming a trend as one of the newest and hottest technologies. This talk will be a basic overview of what AR.js is, what it's current state is, and how it can be used. Of course, there will be a demo. Please be ready with a camera enabled phone that can connect to the internet.

Gerald Soriano (@gerosan), is a recent Software Engineering graduate from MSOE and a soon to be employee of Progressive Insurance in Ohio who has been living in Milwaukee since 2013. Migrating from Hawaii to Wisconsin, Gerald learned about his field of study from college and the community (through Meetups, Happy Hours, and Slack communities). This talk will be his first in his "professional" career so feedback is welcome, says Gerald.

Pre-meetup social hour will be at the Brown Bottle (map) starting around 5pm.
