Picking Battles Around Scrum Practices and Processes

Improving 10111 Richmond Ave , Houston, TX (map)

Hi Houston-area Scrummers and Agilistas,

Our next series of meet-ups will focus on ways to utilize scrum to improve team dynamics, practices, and processes to become a more effective, efficient scrum team.

Schedule of Meet-up:

1. Informal Networking and Light Snacks (Food and Drinks will be provided) - 6:00 - 6:20 PM

2. Introductions - Speaker 6:30 - 7:45

3. Closing Remarks/Questions 7:45 - 8:00 PM

For this meeting we will have Long Mai speak about the processes and practices of Scrum.

When a practice or process is painful or doesn't seem to work as expected, do we prematurely say it doesn't work for us or is it a challenge we must work through because it is important? The root issue may or may not be the practice or process. We will explore practices and processes to help further increase our awareness to help us choose wisely.

Long Mai is a Principal Consultant and Scrum Master at Improving. He loves to improve, learn, and mentor on agile values, software craftsmanship, and software architecture.
