Couragion strongly believes that career literacy should be integrally woven into STEM and computer science education to improve classroom relevance, better inform student choice, and increase retention in real-world career paths.</p> </p>Melissa spent a large part of her career at General Electric and Sun Microsystems where she was a Six Sigma Black Belt and ran software engineering and data analytics organizations. Melissa has a Master's degree in Computer &amp; Information Technology Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bentley University. When not focused on education transformation, you can find her in the Pilates studio, on the trail, in the kitchen, or traveling the globe (42 countries and counting).</p>

Sabina Zolot, Event Manager, SG Denver

Sabina Zolot is the Denver Event Manager for Startup Grind. Sabina has over 16 years of event management experience both professionally for organizations such as Hillel of Colorado and the Anti-Defamation League and as a volunteer for organizations including Boulder Community Health and Colorado State University Alumni Association. She has planned and managed a wide range of events including more intimate events such as professional organization and networking events, trainings and meetings and large events including golf tournaments and fundraising lunches and dinners with over 400 people. Sabina also managed a travel company and researched and planned trips for small businesses and individuals. Most recently Sabina has worked on projects for Vail Resorts and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
