Rick has over 25 years experience in software development and infrastructure/operations leadership, with senior positions in several early to late-stage startups. He started his Agile journey around 2000, experimenting with improving service delivery for custom software clients. He went “all in” with Scrum in 2005, then moved enthusiastically toward the Kanban Method during its emergence around 2010 and was among its first group of accredited coach/trainers.
Rick has over 10 years of transformation, coaching and training experience in organizations from SMBs to global enterprises. He has helped organizations adapt Agile thinking beyond technology groups and into marketing, finance, business development and HR. Rick is currently VP of Customer Engagement for Lean Kanban Inc., where he works with the partner network and end users of the Kanban Method, and evolves systems snd methods to improve LKI's fitness for purpose.
Rick lives in Cleveland OH, where he pursues a range of interests from the arts to endurance sports.
