Buffalo Learning To Code (Week 1)

Right now the plan is to cover the following:

• Chris Pine's 'Learn to Program' book : http://pine.fm/LearnToProgram/
• Michael Hartl's 'Ruby on Rails' Tutorial : http://ruby.railstutorial.org/ruby-on-rails-tutorial-book

Depending on the experience of the group, we may also look at some of the HTML and CSS videos from TeamTreehouse : http://teamtreehouse.com/

We will primarily be looking at Ruby and (eventually) Rails, however, many of the 'concepts' we learn can be applied to other languages.

At this first meetup we will discuss:

• Meeting frequency
• Group expectations
• Group skill level

• Start our first tutorials!!

We will have some sort of food/ drinks available
